Combat scene

     My scene is where I'm someone that skip her court date and know I have a bounty hunter after me.

     It is fun to do a fight scene but the requirements for the fight made it a challenge to over come and make a good fight scene that looks good but ridicules at the same time.

     At the same time, havering a partner that seems not to be excited about the idea of beating up a girl makes it tough to work with. Meaning having to remind him that he won't hurt me for real nor will I hurt him as long as we do the technique correctly.

Combat practice

     Relearning combat techniques for theatre is always fun. In theatre hand to hand combat is most likely done without contact, though there is some theaters that do with contact. Doing a fight without contact means that when you hit, punch or kick you do not actually touch them depending on where your audience is. You most likely want your audience to you victimless back since most of the techniques would be block by your victims body. If that is not the case improvise with your nap/ noise for the slaps and punches.

Paired Pantomime Death Tragedy Scene

     The Death tragedy scenes was way to introduce the combat section as well as work on how to fall and think of clever and funny ways to die.
     Everyone's scene was funny in their own way. Either because it could or has happen to someone or that it is so out there that if it did happen everyone would be in shock at the irony that just took place. For example, a pair did a scene about a date going all wrong for the guy and the girl is just trying to have a good time. This scene could happen and for the most part probably has to someone.  Another example is my scene with Olivia, where she is the old lady feeding birds and i am someone pasting out flyers/bibles and get attack by the birds because i wouldn't leave her alone and she started to throw the bird seed at me. This is a good for yeah it could happen, but i doubt it and if it did we all just be outsiders looking in at it like well that was ironic.

Viewpoints

     For acting there are about 6 viewpoints but my teacher taught us 9. The are topography, rhythm, duration, kinetic response,  reputation, space, shape, and gestures. 

     All of these influence how you act the way you do and help become a character that is not you, unless that character is like you in certain ways. It's also a lot of fun to play with each of the viewpoints separately.

Human Sculptures

Human sculptures is where as a group we make a sculptures without icons that has meaning from music or a word. Even though I was only in one sculpture it was neat to see how one person's pose turned into many poses about something humanistic.

Blossoming and Withering

    Blossoming and Withering is where - with or without music - you start laying on the floor in some way that is comfortable, then slowly begin to move and grow into a character that is not suppose to be human, til its highlighted moment in life and interact with other characters tip that time in life is done and then you slowly begin to die.

    Both time we have done this in class i have left the stage with tears in my eyes. My first character was in love with the stars and didn't want to let them vanish from it's sight. My second character was blind and was just looking for a helping hand.

Walk, Noise, Name, Phrase

    The Walk, Noise, Name, Phrase is where, without thinking, walk a different way than your normal way. Then adda norse that corresponds to the way you are walking, then a name for this character, then a phrase they might say.

    This was fun because i got to become, not on purpose, a character like R2-D2 from Star Wars.

Neutral Walking Sequence

    The Neutral Walking Sequence  is  where you find neural - great posture, and head level with ground- then take about four or five steps, stop without any movement, go to a squat, then to a sitting a position on the ground, and finally to laying on the ground. Next you work your way back into a standing position in reverse.
    This is something that is great for an actor to do before getting into character, but i feel that if I am in neutral for too long that something ad might happen to the people or objects around me. Therefore, i would never do it pass three times.

Weight Shift and Rolling Foot Walk

     The weight shift walk is a walk where you step with one leg, plant it, then shift your wheight to it and repeat.
    This is something i like in that it uses muscles that i do not use all the time, but my knees and ankles say a different.  They get weak when i put too much weight for a longer period of time than my normal slow walk.

     The Rolling foot walk is when you plant your heel with toes pointing up and slowly lower the foot then the toes before lifting your other heel off the ground.
     This is great for isolation in the toes as long as your toes want to corporate with you.
